Terms of service
Last updated 8 November 2026
These terms cover the switchboards.ai website and any work you buy from Switchboards. Switchboards is a trading name of Design Match Inc., a Canadian corporation, run by Danielle Thompson. “I” and “me” below means Danielle and Design Match Inc. If you have a question about anything here, write to hello@switchboards.ai.
Using the site
- You can read the site, download the free guides and use them in your own work.
- Please don’t resell, republish or pass off the guides, templates, recordings or other materials as your own. Sharing a link is always fine.
- When you sign up for anything, you’ll also get Dispatch, my newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
Private support
Private support is a monthly subscription. It includes a one-hour video call with me each week, where we work on your real business with AI.
- Signing up. When you reserve your spot, you save a card and nothing is charged. You then book our first call.
- Billing. Your first monthly payment is taken at the time of our first call. After that you’re billed every month on that date until you cancel. The price is the one shown when you sign up. Prices are in US dollars. If sales tax applies where you are, it’s shown at checkout. Payments are handled by Stripe.
- Cancelling. You can cancel anytime from your account page, or by emailing me before your next billing date. Your support continues until the end of the month you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
- Refunds. A month that has already started isn’t refunded, except where the law requires it. If something isn’t working, tell me and we’ll sort it out.
- Booking and moving calls. You book and reschedule calls with the link in your booking email. If you miss a call, you’re still billed for the month, and we’ll find a new time. If I need to move a call, I’ll reschedule with you.
- If a payment fails. I’ll let you know and give you a chance to update your card. If it isn’t updated, the subscription ends.
- Price changes. If the price changes, I’ll email you at least 30 days before it affects you, so you can cancel first if you’d like.
Workshops and team work
Workshops have their own dates, price and format, shown on the workshop page when you book. Work with teams is scoped in a written proposal. Anything agreed in that proposal applies alongside these terms, and if the two differ, the proposal wins.
What you can expect
- I teach and build with you. The work is practical and based on your situation, so I can’t promise specific results, like a set number of hours saved or new clients.
- AI tools make mistakes. Check anything AI produces before you rely on it, especially for legal, medical, financial or safety decisions.
- We use third-party AI tools, such as Claude and ChatGPT, under those providers’ own terms. Their features and prices can change without my control.
Your work and your information
- You own your business, your files and what we build for it together. My general methods, templates and teaching materials stay mine, and you can keep using them in your own business.
- Only bring information you’re allowed to share, and follow your organisation’s rules about which AI tools you can use. Leave out other people’s sensitive personal details unless they’re truly needed.
- I keep what you share confidential and use it only to work with you. I may describe the kind of thing we built, without your name or your business’s, unless you ask me not to.
- How I handle personal information is in the privacy notice.
Responsibility
As far as the law allows, I’m not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost data, and my total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid me in the three months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
Changes and the law that applies
I may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and if a change affects a subscription you already have, I’ll email you first. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
